English Supply Teacher

Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified teacher of English looking for a new role in Oldham?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a specialist English teacher to join a large secondary academy in Oldham.

This is a full-time supply teaching role from April 2025 to July 2025.

The Role

Teacher of English Language and Literature to GCSE.

Five days a week - 8.15am to 3pm.

Calm, confident behaviour management skills where students can share beliefs in a safe, supportive environment.

A flexible teacher able to adapt lessons to a broad range of abilities, beliefs, and cultures.

Experience of teaching English to students who have improved their predicted GCSE grade from 3 to 6 or higher is desirable.

While the timetable does not include any key stage 5 teaching, the school has a small sixth form, so ability to teach English to A level would be beneficial.

The academy is interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS Teachers, and QTLS teachers with experience of teaching children aged 11-16.

Minimum Requirements

To join us and be successful in this English Teacher role, you will need to:

1. Hold QTS Status or QTLS or ECT status.
2. This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references checks.
3. Provide a CV with a full employment/education history included, and any employment breaks must be explained.
4. Have the legal right to work full time in the UK.
