Utilise your experience and passion to deliver engaging lessons as you assess and support students through following the school’s curriculum.

Position: English Secondary Teacher
Location: Manchester
Start Date: Immediate
Competitive pay: £160-210 per day
Age Group: KS3/KS4
Contract: Full-Time

About the Role:

• Prepare lessons and learning materials.
• Inspire students with your passion for English.
• Support students who need extra assistance, ensuring they grasp essential concepts to improve their academic progress.
• Provide feedback to students and parents through consultations, phone calls, or written communication.
• Attend departmental and school meetings as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
• Support students in small groups and 1:1 sessions, focusing on areas they find challenging.
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress to ensure high attainment.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s curriculum.

What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role:

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a degree in English.
• Passion for English and teaching.
• Experience working in a classroom or tutoring environment is desirable.
• Ability to work with students on a 1:1, group, and class basis.
• A full enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
• A determined, hardworking attitude!
