English Graduate Teaching Assistant - Bramhall
Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week
Contract: Full-time | Immediate Start | Until end of academic year (potential to become permanent)

Are you a recent English graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation of learners?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in the Bramhall area to recruit an English Graduate Teaching Assistant. This full-time role begins ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position depending on performance and school needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a supportive secondary school environment, working closely with pupils and teaching staff in the English department.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students in English lessons, helping to clarify content and encourage engagement
  • Deliver targeted literacy interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Help pupils improve their reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Provide one-to-one academic support to students who may be underachieving or require additional guidance
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • A degree in English, English Literature, Creative Writing or a related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working with young people (in school, tutoring or mentoring) is desirable but not essential
  • Ambition to pursue a career in teaching or education
