Engineering Workshop Manager - Pumps

Panks is a friendly, family run business, established in 1842. We are currently looking for an organised individual with strong management skills & prior experience within the Engineering sector to join our team as Workshop Manager.

This is a full-time position with a six month probation period, then a permanent position for the right candidate.

Job Title: Workshop Manager

Brief outline: Organising processes and programmes of work through the workshop

Summary:

1. To receive and organise pumps/pump repairs
2. To provide costings to clients, deliver products back to customers once repaired.

Main Responsibilities :

1. Organise and oversee the workshop, prioritising servicing and repairs to be carried out.
2. Liaise with Internal Departments to update on works being undertaken
3. Liaise with customers/sub-contractors/suppliers
4. Quote repairs/new pumps, produce reports
5. Maintain safe systems of work
6. Organise maintenance of plant equipment
7. Carry out repairs/fault find on pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
8. Carry out any other duties as required
9. Responsible for managing workshop team

Training/Qualifications needed to undertake role :

1. Recognised qualification in Engineering
2. Minimum 5 years experience within an Engineering and Management role
3. ILM 3 (desirable)
4. Full driving licence

Job Details:

• Full-time
• 40 hours per week
• Monday-Friday 08:00am-17:00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
