Engineering Workshop Manager
GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 P/A
Horsham

Full time Permanent 36.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced Workshop Manager from an Engineering environment? Would you like to join a business where 2 days are truly never the same? Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting an Engineering Workshop Manager to join the team.

The main purpose of this role is to manage the workshop team and to ensure customers on-time delivery targets are met.

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to GBP45,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus 22 days holiday, rising to 25 days after probation, on-site parking, company pension, early finish Fridays, and more! This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm, and 8.30am to 4.15pm on Fridays. Reporting to the Managing Director your responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing the engineering, repair, and inspection functions for the business.
  2. Being the primary point of contact for any workshop-related matters.
  3. Performing work scheduling planning, producing delivery forecasts, and providing job status updates.
  4. Day-to-day people management, including subcontractor management.
  5. Ensuring the tools and equipment are serviced, maintained and calibrated.
  6. Meeting reporting deadlines.

The ideal candidate:

  1. Must come from an engineering environment; any experience working with cars, aircraft, or marine would be desirable.
  2. Will need to understand the fundamentals of hydraulics & pneumatics. Experience within mechanical and electrical would be an advantage.
  3. Must have good people management skills and experience.
  4. Will need to be comfortable using Microsoft packages and bespoke in-house systems.
