Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights / 6-6 12 hour shifts)

Things we’d love to tell you about our Stourton site

• Site takes in 2.2 million litres of milk daily
• Produces around 660 million litres of the nation’s favourites per year from 16 automated filling lines.
• Producing over 225 SKU within 10 different product groups such as Cravendale & BOB filtered milk, flavoured milk, creams, alcohol cream, custards, and cottage cheese.
• Site has received c.£315 million in investment since 2004, with a further major investment of c.£50 million soon to begin.

So what do our engineers actually do?
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will provide breakdown support to one of our key dairies and participate in planned preventative maintenance. You’ll also engage in continuous improvement and project work, contributing to Arla’s continued growth.

This role involves working on equipment including milk pasteurisation, homogenisers, separators, fillers, cartoners, bottle labellers, cappers, packers, blow moulding machines, weighers, flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, trolley packers, palletisers, de-palletisers, conveyor lines, robots, and various OEMS such as Siemens, Krones, Tetra Pak, SPX Flow, ISOMA, Hueft, Nepas, Alpla & Grunwald.

What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role

• Ambition & drive
• Strong experience as a multiskilled engineer (shift engineer/ maintenance engineer/ engineering technician)
• Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, production, and process environments
• HNC or apprentice trained or proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with fast-moving machinery, pumps, valves, inverter drives, sensors, relays, PLC’s (Siemens), site services, and CIP systems
• Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI’s
• Time served as Multi-Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing environment
