Job Title: Engineering Technical Sales Support
Shift Pattern: 08:30 am – 17:30 pm Monday to Friday
Location: Oakham, Rutland

Our client, a fast growing specialist company based in Oakham, is seeking an Engineering Technical Sales Support who demonstrates enthusiasm, organisational skills and is able to prioritise workloads to ensure a smooth running of the business.

The Role:
  • Develop and target new business prospects
  • Expand business with dormant and existing accounts
  • Prepare detailed technical cost estimates and build competitive, customer-specific proposals
  • Create service, parts and new product quotes and maintain consistent follow-up communication with customers
  • Identify current and future customer service requirements
  • Actively utilise CRM to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, new information is added, and accurate call/visit logs are entered
  • Research and analyse market trends, including parts pricing, and competitor offerings
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments throughout the front-end planning ensuring timely service delivery
  • General and technical administration and support
  • Provide technical expertise and application support throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Attend client meetings, industry events, and conferences, requiring occasional travel
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience within a technical sales role
  • Qualifications within Engineering would be advantageous
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings and pricing strategies
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events
