Job Type: Permanent, Days Monday to Friday

Location: Derby area

The Client: Global Manufacturer of engineered materials for various industry applications

Salary: £48,000 - 52,000 per year + Bonus minimum and Pension & Health package $55k realistic minimum

This is a Days only role, Monday - Friday, early finish Friday, plus overtime rate.

It's a complex and time-sensitive manufacturing environment! From front end chemicals processing to special purpose manufacturing plant.

This days-based role will suit an established maintenance engineering manager or career-focused upwardly mobile Engineering Team Leader / shift manager ready to take on more responsibility to own a maintenance department and budget.

This role will lead all frontline engineering maintenance activities, including GMP Manufacturing, and is accountable for ensuring the efficient production of a variety of engineering products.

Key Responsibilities - Engineering Maintenance Team Manager - Days

1. Motivation of your maintenance engineering team through effective leadership and coaching and development.
2. Control of contractors & maintenance suppliers through effective performance reviews.
3. Support Maintenance Excellence roadmap implementation plan for the site.
4. Adherence to planned maintenance schedules through effective resource planning.
5. Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist planning, identifying opportunities for equipment improvement.
6. Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
7. Drive and support Reliability Centred Maintenance/FMECA activities.
8. Devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy, developing contingencies to support the whole site working regime.
9. Manage frontline craft engineers, multi-skilled, and contractors on Planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
10. Create, implement, and manage both maintenance and PPM plans for your area of the factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques.
11. Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implementing plans to deliver improvement.
12. Monitor plant reliability and capability to identify areas of issue or opportunity and implement plans to deliver improvement.
13. People management including delivery of performance reviews, development, and coaching of team.

• Achievement of Preventative Maintenance Plan - leading your shift technicians and engineers

Requirements - Engineering Maintenance Team Manager - Days

1. Demonstrating experience ideally within a Manufacturing / Process engineering environment in an engineering maintenance leadership role.
2. Finely developed interpersonal and communication skills with the natural ability to inspire and lead teams.
3. Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist forward planning and equipment improvement.
4. Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
5. Create, implement, and manage both maintenance and PPM plans for your area of the factory, utilising various operational methodologies.
6. Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implementing plans to deliver improvement.

A proven track record of meeting agreed performance targets and reporting skills are crucial to the success of this role. You will also identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance.
