The Client: Global Manufacturer of engineered materials for various industry applications

Salary: £48,000 - 52,000 per year + Bonus minimum and Pension & Health package $55k realistic minimum

This is a Days only role, Monday - Friday, early finish Friday, plus overtime rate.

It’s a complex and time-sensitive manufacturing environment! From front-end chemicals processing to special purpose manufacturing plant.

This days-based role will suit an established maintenance engineering manager or career-focused upwardly mobile Engineering Team Leader/shift manager ready to take on more responsibility to own a maintenance department and budget.

This role will lead all frontline engineering maintenance activities, including GMP Manufacturing, accountable for ensuring the efficient production of a variety of engineering products.

Key Responsibilities – Engineering Maintenance Team Manager - Days

• Motivation of your maintenance engineering team through effective leadership and coaching and development.
• Control of contractors & maintenance suppliers through effective performance reviews.
• Support Maintenance Excellence roadmap implementation plan for the site.
• Adherence to planned maintenance schedules through effective resource planning.
• Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist planning and identify opportunities for equipment improvement.
• Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
• Drive and support Reliability Centred Maintenance/FMECA activities.
• Devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy and develop contingencies to support the whole site working regime.
• Manage frontline craft engineers, multi-skilled, as well as contractors on Planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Create, implement, and manage both maintenance and PPM plans for your area of the factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques.
• Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implementing plans to deliver improvement.
• Monitor plant reliability and capability to identify areas of issue or opportunity and implement plans to deliver improvement.
• People management including delivery of performance reviews, development and coaching of team.

Your key deliverables are:

• Achievement of Preventative Maintenance Plan – leading your shift technicians and engineers.

Requirements - Engineering Maintenance Team Manager - Days

• Demonstrated experience ideally within a Manufacturing/Process engineering environment in an engineering maintenance leadership role.
• Finely developed interpersonal and communication skills with the natural ability to inspire and lead teams.
• Undertake analysis of CMMS data to assist forward planning and equipment improvement.
• Review maintenance activities and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
• Create, implement, and manage both maintenance and PPM plans for your area of the factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques.
• Monitor operational efficiency of all plant and equipment, identifying areas of under-performance or opportunity and implement plans to deliver improvement.
• A proven track record of meeting agreed performance targets and reporting skills are crucial to the success of this role.
• Identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance.
• Display effective organisational skills and demonstrate a forward-thinking, career-ambitious and enthusiastic approach.
