Engineering & Resistant Materials/Product Design Teacher

Location: Bradford
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time / Contract or Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £31,650 - £49,000

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Engineering & Resistant Materials/Product Design Teacher to join our dynamic Design & Technology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, product design, and resistant materials, with experience with machine training and a commitment to delivering engaging and practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Engineering, Product Design, and Resistant Materials at KS3/KS4.
  2. Teach students how to safely and effectively use workshop machinery and equipment.
  3. Develop innovative and hands-on learning experiences to enhance students' technical skills and creativity.
  4. Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly followed in all practical sessions.
  5. Support students with coursework, projects, and exam preparation.
  6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  7. Participate in extracurricular activities, workshops, and STEM initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Machine trained and certified with experience in using and maintaining workshop machinery.
  3. Experience teaching Engineering, Product Design, or Resistant Materials at secondary level.
  4. Excellent classroom management and a passion for inspiring students.
