Engineering Project Manager

Edinburgh

We are proud to be working with a well-known, reputable and established biscuit manufacturer that is looking for an Engineering Project Manager in their Edinburgh office to ensure that their capital projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet the defined scope.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage the delivery of site capital projects
  2. Define project scope, goals and deliverables
  3. Define tasks and required resources
  4. Create and manage communication plans
  5. Support other members of the project team
  6. Manage budgets
  7. Allocate project resources
  8. Create schedule and project timeline
  9. Track deliverables
  10. Lead quality assurance
  11. Monitor and report on project progress
  12. Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
  13. Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
  14. Evaluate and assess result of project
  15. Comply with health and safety/ food safety regulations
  16. Availability to travel when required

Requirements

  1. Degree educated or equivalent with a strong technical background
  2. Project Management qualification (Prince2) or equivalent
  3. Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
  4. Knowledge of techniques and tools
  5. Experience as a project manager > £1M Budget
  6. Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
  7. Proficiency in project management software tools
  8. Experience in the Food industry is desirable.
  9. Experience of managing projects across a multi-site business
  10. Excellent planning and organising skills
  11. Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to deal with conflict and tackle the service provided by contractors and suppliers
  12. Flexible/ embraces change/ challenges the status quo
  13. Excellent communication skills
  14. Experienced with AutoCAD desirable
