Engineering Manager, Voice Platform
What you'll do
- Oversee the Voice platform's day-to-day operations, including: availability, performance, compliance, call centre metrics, and incident response
- Lead a cross-functional team of Voice Platform Engineers, building and unlocking new capabilities for the platform in line with a Product-led roadmap
- Work closely with Amazon, with Product Managers, and with Operations to influence and shape the platform roadmap - balancing new features with platform health
- Support the team with their development and career aspirations, maintaining an environment where engineers can do their best work every day, and enjoy what they do
- Obsess over service; fix problems permanently; take pride in delivering maintainable code
What we're looking for- You'll have demonstrable experience in leading, challenging, and supporting engineering and/or service teams to achieve business goals
- You'll have empathy and understanding of the challenges that engineers face
- You're comfortable in reaching technical trade-offs between short-term team and long-term business needs
- You're passionate about recruiting and developing great engineering talent
- You'll demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, work together across engineering and operational teams, and build a network of internal and external stakeholders that you can use effectively to get things done

Where and how you'll workThis is a permanent position and is based in our Nottingham office.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We're big on collaboration and connection, so you'll be based in our office at least 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
