Job description

Pay Range: £neg based on experience, plus Car package

Contract Type: Permanent. Our Client are a leading expert in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) solutions! With many years of experience within delivering power protection including on site services. Our client takes pride on their rapid response and customer service they provide.

As our Engineering Manager, you’ll be at the heart of their operations, ensuring the smooth running of engineering activities, from managing technical teams to overseeing on-site installations and health & safety compliance.

What you’ll be doing
Engineering Team Management & Leadership
  1. Use your engineering experience to effectively manage the engineering team, ensuring productivity and efficiency
  2. Serve as an escalation point for technical queries and customer faults/callouts (both normal working hours and out-of-hours)
  3. Provide leadership and duty of care for engineers, onsite staff, and external contractors
Operational & Site Management
  1. Serve as the responsible person for Health & Safety onsite, ensuring statutory compliance
  2. Ensure that company premises meet required standards for maintenance and health & safety
  3. Assist in planning and coordinating team resources to meet operational demands, while overseeing the management of projects, ensuring successful execution
Process Improvement, Compliance & Reporting
  1. Analyse and improve processes within the engineering department
  2. Ensure all activities comply with legal and company standards
  3. Effectively manage the engineering budget, ensuring cost control
  4. Conduct reporting and project analysis to evaluate performance and outcomes
Qualifications & Requirements

What we will require from you:

  1. Proven experience/background in installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of UPS & battery systems
  2. Leadership ability with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
  3. Strong organisational skills & a passion for continuous improvement
  4. A flexible “can-do” attitude with energy and drive

*Management training will be available to the right candidate
