Recruit4Staff is pleased to represent their client, a leading engineering company in their search for an Engineering Manager to work in their leading facility in Shropshire.

The Role – Engineering Manager

Our client is searching for a skilled Engineering Manager to drive meaningful change in their engineering organisation and lead the team through growth and expansion.

Reporting to the operations manager, you will lead the engineering department to ensure effective creation and delivery of packages to support customer purchases.

For the successful Engineering Manager, our client is offering:

  • Salary £50,000 P/A
  • Monday to Friday (Days 8am-5:15pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays) - (The potential applicant must be open to flexibility)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and coordinating the engineering department & workshop.
  • Work closely with the sales department to design solutions and deliver on customer requirements.
  • Support in designing functional processes around creation, review and update of engineering documentation and master data maintenance.
  • Development of continuous improvement processes for engineering, installation and service departments.
  • Responsible for managing the UK process and audits.
  • Supporting training and development of 3D modelling.
  • Define, measure and report on departments KPI's.
  • Represent the business in the UK and overseas at technical conferences and product events.

What our client is looking for in an Engineering Manager:

  • Qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering – ESSENTIAL
  • Engineering principles experience – ESSENTIAL
  • Extensive experience in Commercial vehicle applications – DESIRABLE
  • Experience in managing a team with good people management skills, preferably in an administrative environment.
  • Have excellent technical knowledge.
  • Possess good I.T. skills, including MS Office, Salesforce, SAP & ERP systems.
  • Full UK Driving licence as occasional national travel.
