Job description

Engineering Estimator / Quotations / Sales

We are recruiting for an Estimator to work for our client who is located on the outskirts of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire / Barnsley, South Yorkshire. This role will cover that site and a site in Bradford, requiring a split role between sites.

THE DUTIES:

  1. Research costs: Research the costs of materials, labour, equipment, and transportation.
  2. Gather quotes: Get quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  3. Assess risk: Evaluate the level of risk for a project.
  4. Prepare estimates: Prepare estimates for labour and material costs for upcoming projects.
  5. Prepare bids and tenders: Prepare bids and tenders for projects.
  6. Evaluate projects: Evaluate potential projects and their cost-effectiveness.
  7. Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential in designated regions.
  8. Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements.
  9. Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
  1. Minimum 2 years' experience working within an Engineering high precision manufacturing background.
  2. Excellent communication skills.

THE HOURS:
Working on days - Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 12pm.

THE PAY:
You will earn an annual salary of between £36k-40k depending on experience, plus bonus.
