As a Trainee Engineering Design Graduate you will learn to prepare electrical, protection/control, mechanical and civil designs for schemes to construct, extend or modify electricity substations. The team sets substation design strategies, policies and drives innovative thinking. You will assist teams with the assessment of substation options and develop selected schemes from a broad engineering brief into a fully specified build package.

You'll need to achieve a minimum 2:2 in Electrical Engineering, Math, Sciences or Data Science Degree. It doesn’t matter when you graduated or if you are currently working towards your qualification. We just need you to be eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.
Due to the amount of travel to our site locations, you'll need to have a full valid UK driving license that allows you to drive in the UK.
You’ll need flexibility to travel within the role and throughout your rotations as required.
To be eligible to apply for this role, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they will have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme.
This role is based in Bristol or Cardiff offering flexible hybrid working, where possible.
We are proud to offer a graduate starting salary of £34,895.
