Are you a Supervisor in the Rail industry? Looking for a new challenge? We have an Engineering Depot Supervisor for one of our key rail clients based in Crewe on a permanent basis.

The successful applicant should be a safety-conscious and motivated self-starter, a fully versatile team player with a willingness to work a 24/7 shift roster, on a salary of £49,885 per annum.

As an Engineering Depot Supervisor, the successful candidate will report to the Engineering Production Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the team of Mechanical & Electrical Fitters deliver the maintenance production plan safely and efficiently to meet and exceed customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe environment for all to work. Ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to and processes improved as we strive to be injury-free.
• Provide leadership to your team to create an engaged and motivated workforce.
• Carry out IPEs and safety observations to develop team members.
• Ensure safe, quality, and reliable production whilst working to achieve fleet availability and reliability targets.
• Continuously work in accordance with all G&W and Freightliner policies and procedures.

Competencies Required:

• Commitment to safe working practices – the ability to be a safety leader.
• Apprentice trained or time served.
• Supervisory or man-management experience and the ability to make sound engineering decisions.
• Experience of Traction and Rolling Stock.
• Engineering qualification, preferably HNC standard in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Ability to seek continuous improvement.
