Engineering Delivery Manager
Base location : The ideal location would be Cheadle, UK, although Crawley might be taken into consideration for the right applicant.
We can offer a hybrid approach to office and remote working. We would expect 3 days per week as the standard days on Cheadle / Crawley site.
At most, 15% travel required within Thales sites and sporadically for client meetings within the UK.

PROFILE:
You graduated with a Master of Engineering or Computer Science or in University.
You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience among the following positions: Engineering Manager, IT / Technical Project Manager, or Software Engineering Manager (SwEM).
You want to lead a technical team in a challenging environment.
You want to delight your customers and build strong relationships.
You are willing to engage and develop your team using collaborative work and challenging approaches.
You believe in continuous improvement and work accordingly.
You sound convincing and persuasive.

You know how to verify the technical deliverables of engineering teams (customer needs, OCD, requirements, architecture choice…).
You are able to lead and manage technical engineering projects, meeting the requirements with a clear view of the risks and opportunities.
You are able to engage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders as well as creating clear and achievable goals.
You are able to take decisions–even in uncertain contexts.
LIFE AS A THALES ENGINEERING DELIVERY MANAGEMENT ROLE
As an Engineering Delivery Management Role, you will:
Deploy the adequate Practices and Tools tailored (for SEM and WPM) to reach the required maturity according to Project/Product delivery challenges.
Work with the discipline delivery team to make them efficient, identify gaps and associated actions to support delivery continuous improvement.
Capitalise and share knowledge and assets dedicated to delivery discipline.
Manage, develop people/skills & allocation to products/projects.
Take in charge Delivery Lead Staffing (SEM, WPM, Tribe Leader, Chief Product Owner) on project/product with respect to PPM/PMs’ requests.
Represent the CC in project reviews.
Reviews of ‘Engineering Deliverability’ for bids (engineering strategy & plan, schedule, solution maturity, risk reduction & risk mitigations, acceptance strategy, certification, resourcing, E2 strategy, estimates, contingency).
Contribute on Bids/Products and Projects peer reviews to reduce engineering risks and increase confidence to deliver.

Applicants must be eligible to obtain UK SC Level Security Clearance without restrictions and be UK national.
