An enthusiastic and experienced person is required to become a member of the Structures Team which is primarily responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the Council's bridge stock of over 1100 bridges, culverts and other road related structures.
This role will be primarily focused on delivery of the Structures Team extensive Capital works programme. This will involve procuring and managing Consultants and Contractors workload and also carrying out in-house structural design and assessment as necessary.
Your duties will involve preparing works orders, contract documentation, procurement of works, and supervising works on site. You will also be responsible for monitoring and updating the Structures Capital Budgets & Revenue budgets and managing technical staff as may be required.
