Job description

Role Title: Engagement Manager

Duration: 6 months

Location: Telford, min 2 days onsite

Rate: up to £519.75 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Role purpose / summary:

You will form part of the engagement team within the Tax Admin area with a focus on our CBP, RTI/CBS and COTAX contract projects. We are looking for experienced Engagement Managers to join our team who can run high visibility, strategically important deliveries with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Key Skills/Requirements:

  1. Project Delivery: Direct the planning, execution and implementation of your projects to agreed standards with the appropriate levels of governance. Work with the delivery teams to develop and maintain project schedules, balance priorities, and manage issues, risks and dependencies. Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality and are delivered on time. Set expectations through clear and accurate engagement reporting and communication to all stakeholders, ensuring an appropriate level of escalation.
  2. Proposal management: Be proficient at managing the impacting and estimating process. Develop accurate and well-written proposals and change requests.
  3. Financial management: Have a good level of commercial awareness. Be accountable for the project finances. Manage project actuals and forecasts and present clear and accurate explanations at the monthly review.
  4. Resource management: Work with resource managers to fully resource your projects and accurately forecast and record staffing demand.
  5. Staff development: Mentor and coach Junior EMs within the project team to ensure that they are able to meet future demands for skills that are pertinent to the CDA.
  6. Client management: Identify and maintain professional relationships with key project stakeholders. Ensure regular formal checkpoints take place with the customer and that the client is kept appraised of progress on a regular basis. Agree and monitor the engagement using the OTACE process. Seek new opportunities to improve the client business and generate revenue.

Required Skills:

  • Experience working as an Engagement Manager, managing software and/or integration projects.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships.
  • Flexibility about work content with ability to balance priorities across multiple tasks at the same time.
