We are looking for an Energy & Sustainability Manager based in the UK

About JLL: We’re JLL, a professional services and investment management firm specializing in real estate.

Role Purpose:

The Portfolio Energy & Sustainability Manager will serve on a new financial services sector client account, reporting to the JLL Global Sustainable Operations Director. The role will oversee the development and project management of energy initiatives to ensure delivery of client KPIs including energy savings, carbon emissions reduction, water, and waste management.

What this job involves:

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute the energy management and sustainability strategy.
• Implement energy and sustainability projects and programs to reach objectives.
• Support corporate reporting objectives and provide management information relating to the use of utilities and the impact on the internal and external environment.
• Support the energy, waste, and water data collection process within JLL’s technology platform and produce tailored reports.
• Drive operational improvements through the identification and implementation of opportunities to improve energy and sustainability performance.
• Collaborate with other JLL energy managers to share best practices and develop new business opportunities.
• Engage with JLL facility managers to provide advice on environmental sustainability.
• Champion campaigns with local FM Teams to improve sustainable operations.

Requirements – Essential:

• University Degree (Science, engineering, math or related fields).
• Technical understanding of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems.
• In-depth understanding of energy and water conservation measures.
• Experience with benchmarking and analyzing utility data.
• Knowledge of carbon reporting and accounting.
• Understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting.
• Ability to explain complex information and build consensus.

Requirements – Desirable:

• Experience conducting site walkthroughs to find conservation measures.
• Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in preparing tenders and selecting appropriate vendors.
• Knowledge of environmental reporting, utility management, and ISO 14001 compliance.
• Familiarity with energy procurement and renewable energy options.
• Experience in green lease implementation or landlord/property investor engagement.
• Ability to write recommendation reports for various audiences.
• Strong presentation and engagement skills.
• Evidence of delivering innovation and engaging with continuous improvement.
