Energy Centre Manager

We are looking for an Energy Centre Manager to join our team based at Citigen. We need everyone's positive energy and innovative thinking to lead the energy transition to net zero. Here's what you'll be doing

Salary - £58,693 to £71,634 plus London allowance of £3,550 per annum. Right now, we’re looking for an Energy Centre Manager to take responsibility, through others, for the planning and management of all operations and maintenance activities at our London Energy Centre Sites. Here you’ll manage appropriate contract resources, ensuring the assets are maintained to allow the safe and efficient operation within budget at all times.

You’ll also be responsible for the development and delivery of medium to long term operations and maintenance strategies for the Energy Centre Assets including the management of safety, technical governance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing visible Health & Safety leadership, ensuring all aspects of safety standards and compliance are demonstrably achieved for your sites.
2. Leading and managing the team of Energy Centre Engineers. Driving performance, supporting development and establishing a positive culture of control, accountability and collaboration.
3. Ensuring the reliable delivery of heat, chill and power to customers for your sites.
4. Taking overall responsibility for the financial delivery of your sites in line with agreed targets. Ensuring the efficient and effective running of assets and control of costs.
5. Developing, implementing and managing relevant services strategies and records to ensure Energy centres comply with all internal/external minimum standards.
6. Effectively delivering Energy Centre planned/unplanned maintenance activities.
7. Managing maintenance contracts and requirements.
8. Undertaking analysis of plant issues, gaining necessary technical advice, decision making and contract management.
9. Being forward looking and innovative in leading the maintenance delivery at the Energy Centres.
10. Ensuring contractor performance is optimised utilising E.ON standards and policies.

What we need from you:

1. ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) or equivalent and/or demonstrable significant experience in general engineering principles.
2. IOSH or equivalent safety qualification as a minimum.
3. Authorised Engineer Status.
4. Competent in hazard identification, risk assessment and management of risks.
5. Excellent understanding of commercial effects of sites operations & maintenance.
6. Capable to make own management and technical decisions.
7. An understanding of industry practice and procedures and, as such, can recognise and diagnose problems and make decisions which are unprecedented.
8. Responsible for operations and team development and training plan and coordinate these activities.
9. Ability to plan up to 5 years in advance.

It would be great if you have:

1. NEBOSH General Safety.
2. HV SAP under EON Safety Rules.
3. HNC in Engineering.
4. A willingness to attain a recognised leadership qualification.
