Energy and Carbon Coordinator: Safran Landing Systems Services (SLSS) & Safran Landing Systems (SLS)

Safran Landing Systems is the world leader in aircraft landing and braking systems and is at the forefront of contributing to safer, more sustainable aviation for current and future generations.

Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation partners with a range of global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, Iberia, Vueling, Air Canada, Etihad, and Qatar.

We now have an opening for an Energy and Carbon Coordinator to join us, working across both of our sites in Gloucester.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and disseminate industry trends and future innovation in the clean energy sector.
  2. Develop and implement a strategic approach to energy and carbon management for SLSS & SLS UK sites.
  3. Take responsibility for all SLSS & SLS UK CCA data/submissions where required.
  4. Develop a pathway/blueprint for SLSS & SLS UK sites to embed carbon management into core business processes.
  5. Develop and energise an energy/carbon team composed of key stakeholders within SLSS & SLS UK sites.
  6. Raise and disseminate awareness on energy/carbon matters.
  7. Lead consulting assignments with SLSS & SLS UK sites to deliver emissions baselining and reduction plans.
  8. Engage key stakeholders from Executive to Operational levels.
  9. Track and report progress and liaise with Safran Group HQ Environment/Carbon functions.
  10. Act as technical interface/support for all new Energy Reduction initiatives.
  11. Ensure consistency across SLSS & SLS UK regarding metering.
  12. Attend site services meetings when requested.
  13. Produce data/required metrics for each business unit on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis.
Job Requirements
  1. Strategically minded: Able to structure insights and evidence into compelling narratives.
  2. Market knowledge: Understanding of the UK/Global energy markets.
  3. Commercially minded: Able to build, assess and improve business cases.
  4. Technologically astute: Knowledge of the energy technology sector.
  5. Creative: Able to innovate and assess new ideas.
  6. Organised: Able to coordinate and drive people to common goals.
  7. Communicator: Present outputs with clarity and credibility.
Work Experience
  1. Successful track record in a similar capacity or demonstrable success in delivering projects.
  2. Experience of stakeholder engagement.
  3. Hands-on experience of road mapping.
  4. Knowledge of energy and carbon markets standards and regulatory schemes.
Education/Certification

Degree level qualification in any discipline or equivalent – essential.
