Job description

Role: Employment Solicitor
Location: Worcester
Salary: DOE

We, at Simpson Judge, are currently working with a reputable Legal 500 who is looking for a dynamic solicitor to join their highly acclaimed Employment Team in Worcester.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Offer expert guidance to employers and employees on various employment matters.
  2. Oversee Employment Tribunal claims.
  3. Manage TUPE issues, redundancy situations, and transfers of undertakings.
  4. Negotiate and draft settlement agreements for both parties.
  5. Provide advice on restrictive covenants, breaches of confidentiality, and other workplace disputes.
  6. Draft and review employment contracts and employee handbooks.
  7. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case management.
  8. Prepare court documents, correspondence, and other legal paperwork.
  9. Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel and involved parties.
  10. Collaborate with Partners and peers to develop strategies that align with client objectives.
  11. Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Requirements:
  1. Up to 8 years PQE in Employment Law.
  2. Demonstrated experience in managing employment tribunal claims and complex legal matters.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management abilities.
  4. Capacity to cooperate effectively within a supportive team environment.
  5. A proactive mindset towards business development and marketing efforts.
