Senior Employment Solicitor - Public Sector - North West / Hybrid Working


A standout opportunity for a senior Employment solicitor who is passionate about working with clients in the public sector and ready to take on greater responsibility within an award-winning firm.


The role

Working with this leading regional firm with a national reputation as part of its respected Employment (Public Sector) team.

  1. Working with a client base in the Education, Housing, and Local Government sectors.
  2. Part of an award-winning, values-led firm recently recognised as UK Employer of the Year 202.
  3. Managing a broad caseload of public sector employment matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, and TUPE.
  4. Represent clients in Employment Tribunals and internal hearings such as grievances and disciplinary investigations.
  5. Supervise, train, and mentor junior colleagues, delegating work to Solicitors and Paralegals.
  6. Play an active role in business development through client training and leadership.

Requirements
  1. A minimum of 5 years PQE as a Solicitor or CILEX equivalent.
  2. Exposure to working with public sector clients.
  3. Proven advocacy experience, or a strong desire to develop advocacy skills across Tribunals and client hearings.
  4. A track record of managing a caseload independently and delivering results in line with fee targets.
  5. Strong leadership, mentoring, and supervisory capabilities.
  6. Willingness to travel for hearings and client needs as required.
