My Client: I am working with a highly regarded law firm seeking an Employment Lawyer to join their team on a 12-month FTC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advise on a broad range of employment law matters, including tribunal litigation, regulatory compliance, and complex transactions.

Reporting to the Head of Employment Law, the successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing strategic legal advice to both employers and senior executives across various industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Advising clients on employment policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy processes, and family-friendly rights.
  • Managing employment tribunal cases from inception to hearing, including drafting pleadings and attending preliminary hearings.
  • Providing support on corporate transactions, including employment due diligence and TUPE advice.
  • Representing senior executives in severance negotiations.
  • Advising on employment and partnership disputes, with knowledge of High Court litigation being an advantage.
  • Delivering employment law training to clients and internal teams.
Requirements:
  • England and Wales qualified employment lawyer (6-7 PQE) with strong experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Our client is open to candidates outside of this PQE range with strong employment law interest and experience.
  • Proven track record in handling tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings and attending hearings.
  • Skilled in advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence, warranties, and indemnities.
  • Familiarity with employment data protection and privacy issues, including handling Data Subject Access Requests.
  • Ability to advise on redundancies, disciplinary and grievance matters, and executive terminations.
  • Strong business development skills, including article writing and networking.
