Job description

Our client is looking for a Qualified Advocate with expertise in Employment Law to join their growing legal team.

This role involves advising and representing clients on a wide range of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious, while delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert advice on employment issues, including unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, contracts, and workplace disputes.
  2. Represent clients in the Employment and Equality Tribunal and other relevant forums.
  3. Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
  4. Manage settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
  5. Support corporate teams with employment law matters during business transactions and restructurings.
  6. Stay updated on changes to Manx and UK employment legislation.

Key Requirements

  1. Qualified Advocate.
  2. Proven experience in employment law with strong advocacy and drafting skills.
  3. Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively and independently.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-care skills.
