Combining decades of industry experience with talented people in every field from data, technology, customer care and auto repair, to HR, finance, and procurement, we’re a customer-obsessed market powerhouse. And we all work together to be brilliant for customers, every single day.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract as an Employee Relations and Change Lead. You will form part of an empowered, strategic centre of expertise working in collaboration with our leaders across DLG, providing expert guidance and advice across various people-related activities. As a trusted advisor to the business, you will work closely with senior leadership to navigate complex ER matters, champion change initiatives, and influence our strategic people agenda.

This is an excellent role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a strong background in employee relations, change management, and leadership in ER practices.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead on strategic change initiatives across the business, ensuring that employee relations are managed effectively and aligned with transformation objectives.
  • Provide high-level advisory support to senior leaders on complex ER issues, ensuring alignment with organisational policies, processes, and legal frameworks.
  • Shape and influence organisational policies and processes by incorporating external insights, best practices, and changes in employment legislation.
  • Establish and foster trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a key advisor on all ER and change-related activities.
  • Utilize data to proactively identify trends and risks, driving continuous improvement and aligning ER practices with strategic business priorities.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders on key change management projects to support organizational transformation.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks associated with employee relations and change programs, including the effective recording and tracking of all activities.
  • Proactively drive improvements in employee relations and change processes through stakeholder collaboration and cross-functional leadership.

What you'll need:

  • Extensive experience in employee relations and change management, with a track record of driving successful outcomes in complex business environments.
  • In-depth understanding of employment law and its application to ER, with the ability to advise on high-risk and high-complexity cases.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ability to interpret complex information, analyse data, and provide clear, strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a focus on influencing outcomes at a senior level.
  • Experience in policy creation and using insights from employment law and industry trends to shape best practices.
