Supporting Mental Health and Complex Needs

Academics LTD is partnering with a specialist school in Maidenhead that offers tailored support for children aged 5 to 18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school is seeking a compassionate and motivated Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant to join their team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience working closely with qualified SEN professionals and psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborating with external specialists and psychologists
  2. Supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
  3. Helping students develop emotional regulation and improve social skills
  4. Demonstrating a genuine interest in working with children or in the SEN field
  5. Being proactive, calm, and resilient in handling various challenges

This position is ideal for graduates looking to build experience in an educational setting, or for anyone aiming to work in Psychology or Mental Health. No prior experience is necessary, but relevant qualifications such as a Degree, Level 3 qualification, or any experience working with SEN children are highly regarded.

As an Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience working 1:1 and in groups with children facing challenges related to Autism, behavioural difficulties, sensory processing issues, and communication barriers. Position Details:

  1. Role: Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant

  3. Salary: £83 - £95 per day (dependent on experience, training, and qualifications)
  4. Contract: Long-term temporary with potential for permanent
  5. Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
  6. Experience: Preferred but not essential
