What we look for in your application:

  • Registered with the Nurse and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Registered Paramedic (HCPC).
  • Recognized Nurse Practitioner Qualification or Paramedic Care Practitioner course, including minor injuries.
  • Proven history of working in an A&E department or equivalent setting, performing the role of a Nurse/Care Practitioner, with the ability to work as a responsible autonomous practitioner in minor injuries.
Main duties of the job
  • The ability to work autonomously to meet the individual needs of clients from the age of 1 year; safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
  • Demonstrates expert clinical skills.
  • Has a caring and professional approach to patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to organize the swift flow of patients through the unit safely & effectively.
  • Experience of working under Patient Group Directions (PGDs) for the supply of medications.

  • Minor Injury University Post Graduate Course
  • Good knowledge of the Musculoskeletal system
  • Experience with reading x-ray imaging.
  • Independent Non-medical prescriber
  • Evidence of further x-ray training e.g. Red Dot Course
