As an EMEA Head of Securities Network Management within Network Management team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team and overseeing the regulatory and operational performance of our portfolio of Agent Bank providers. Your role will also involve managing internal relationships with departments such as Agency Securities Finance, CPG and Principal Collateral Operations, Tri-Party (Collateral Services), and Depositary Services, serving as a crucial link between the business and its markets and providers. Furthermore, you will engage closely with senior-level stakeholders, advocating for business needs, acting as a primary point of contact, and providing insights on market standards, changes, and trends.

Job responsibilities

  1. Manage the EMEA Securities Regional team to ensure they demonstrate a deep understanding of and compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements for all jurisdictions required
  2. Ensure accuracy of the regulatory oversight activities performed by the team and their adherence to policy and procedural deadlines
  3. Act as an escalation to senior management for any issues that might impact the completion of legal and regulatory requirements and formulating remediation plans
  4. Represent Network Management during committees and governance forums with accountability for the quality of the materials
  5. Review and provide sign-off recommendations on New Business Initiatives (NBIAs) and articulating the associated risks with new/prospective engagements to senior management
  6. Manage in region crisis events impacting the Line of Businesses and their markets and communicating critical information to senior management
  7. Coordinate with other Regional Heads and the Global Heads to ensure a consistent approach is maintained across Network Management and driving best practice and innovation initiatives
  8. Be responsible for ensuring the team maintains a culture for partnership, collaboration and knowledge sharing
  9. Serve as a single point of contact for Network Management with Agency Securities Finance, CPG and Principal Collateral Operations and Tri-Party (Collateral Services) and demonstrate a deep understanding of their network and products
  10. Interact with Senior Management regarding strategic management of the networks, relationships and advocacy opportunities, ensure Network Management colleagues are kept abreast of the needs and strategy of the Business, building common goals and delivering the businesses objectives, and offer and implement solutions to address challenges, identifying developing trends across markets to help offer a competitive advantage
  11. Understand, articulate, and influence strategic spend management and service delivery outcomes to senior managers in Network and measure feedback and/or satisfaction against Network Management's performance and being responsible for Year-on-Year improvement

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  1. Extensive experience in the Financial Services industry, with expertise in Network Management
  2. Strong understanding of the regulatory environment within the Financial Services industry and its impact on business strategy
  3. Demonstrated relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills
  4. Leadership experience with agent banks or non-bank financial institutions
  5. Experience with Third Party Oversight, risk, control, and regulatory management
  6. Deep knowledge of core Securities Products in a post trade environment
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management
  8. Excellent attention to detail and ability to coach teams
  9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables across various stakeholders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines
  2. Prior experience in Securities Product will be an advantage
  3. Self-motivated and disciplined, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
  4. Capability to focus on details while maintaining a strategic point of view
  5. Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships to achieve results
