Electronics Support Engineer
Location: Great Yarmouth
Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience

Are you an experienced Electronics Support Engineer looking for an exciting role in the marine technology industry? Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-value electronic products, is seeking a talented engineer to join their service and support team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge subsea equipment, supporting both internal and external clients.

About the Role:

As an Electronics Support Engineer, you will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and supporting advanced electronic subsea systems. This includes working on client-owned systems and internal demonstrator/trials equipment. You will also be involved in product testing, development, and troubleshooting. The role may require occasional offshore travel for trials, client training, and demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, service, and maintain electronic subsea products.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
  • Assist in product testing and development.
  • Conduct trials, training, and product evaluations, occasionally offshore.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers across multiple disciplines.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach and a can-do attitude.
  • IT literate, proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in the marine industry.
  • Knowledge of marine geophysics, subsea positioning, or GNSS positioning.
  • Experience working with electronic test and measurement equipment.
