Job Title: Electronics Engineer (Audio)

Our client is seeking an experienced Audio Electronics Engineer to join their well-established team as part of their continued growth. This role is central to the R&D department, where you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge audio products, taking them from concept and design through to production and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Taking ownership of projects and designing system architectures.
2. Overseeing research and full product development across all stages of the lifecycle for assigned projects.
3. Generating and contributing innovative ideas to enhance audio technology.
4. Building and testing electronic prototypes.
5. Defining technical requirements and specifications for new products.
6. Working collaboratively with teams in the UK and overseas on project-specific matters.
7. Supporting the R&D department with daily technical tasks.
8. Occasional overseas travel may be required (though not essential), offering a great chance to expand your knowledge and experience.

Essential Requirements:

1. A degree in electronics or a closely related engineering field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electronic design, preferably within the audio electronics industry.
3. Expertise in working with ADC/DACs (Analog/Digital Converters), op-amps, and similar components.
4. Experience in high-speed digital electronics, including microcontrollers and DSPs.
5. Proven skills in PCB layout and design.

Desirable Skills:

1. Proficiency with Altium design software.
2. Familiarity with EMC requirements and design considerations.
3. Experience managing projects from concept to mass production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Analytical thinking with excellent numerical abilities.
6. Attention to detail and a self-motivated, independent approach to work.
7. Flexibility and adaptability in the workplace.
