Electronics Supply Chain Buyer

£30,000 guideline negotiable + pension

Permanent.

Daytime Monday to Friday. Earlier finish on Fridays.

Supply Chain Coordinator electronics buyer job in the engineering supply chain team for an electrical, electronics and mechatronics manufacturing and engineering business. As Supply Chain Coordinator electronics buyer, you work in a technical purchasing supply chain team, playing your part by ensuring the correct materials and components are sourced correctly in the supply chain and suppliers deliver on time.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supply Chain Coordinator in an electrical and electronics manufacturing business.
  2. Communicating with colleagues in engineering, reading technical specifications, engineering drawings and electrical schematics to ensure the correct components are ordered.
  3. Communicating with suppliers to ensure the correct components are ordered and delivered on time.
  4. Working on low volume projects, so the job is often fresh and never gets too repetitive.
  5. Be part of a team working on different products, supporting well planned projects which are clearly defined and well managed.

Qualifications:
  1. Team player, able to communicate with technical and manufacturing colleagues.
  2. Able to communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure efficient, accurate and on time delivery is achieved.
  3. Experience of being involved with purchasing, ordering from suppliers, expediting, buying and coordinating suppliers and supply chain.
  4. Ability to work with electrical & technical components, engineering colleagues and electronics suppliers.
