Electrician (Facilities Management) – St Andrews Healthcare

Location: Northampton Salary: From £33,760 per annum + on-call enhancements & overtime Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday + on-call rota Contract Type: Permanent

You will play a key role in electrical maintenance, installations, testing, and emergency repairs while ensuring compliance with the highest safety and security standards.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, and fault-finding
2. Working with fire alarms, emergency lighting, and control systems
3. Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) regulations
4. Maximising first-time fix rates and minimising repeat visits
5. Maintaining a world-class service for staff and patients

What we are looking for

1. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 (Fully Qualified Electrician)
2. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
3. Hands-on experience in electrical/building services maintenance
4. Strong problem-solving skills & ability to work in a secure environment
5. Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

1. 2391-20 Certification (Inspection & Testing)
2. PAT Testing & Health & Safety qualifications
3. Experience in healthcare, custodial, or secure environments
