Pay: £25 per hour Umbrella or £18.60 per hour PAYE


Location: either Kettering or Corby depot


Length: 3 months / ongoing


Working hours: 37 hours a week with Friday finishing at 4pm, callout 1 in 4

Opus People Solutions are seeking skilled electricians on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council to join the Housing Property Services Team based at the Council's Depots at Kettering and Corby, working across the whole of the NNC authority.


Main responsibilities will include:



  • Delivering the repair and maintenance to the council's 8,000+ tenants.

  • Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), installations, servicing, repairs and rewires of domestic properties.

  • Testing of three phase supplies.

  • Participating in out of hours call out.

  • Delivering a first-time fix service, ensuring minimal disruption to our and providing outstanding customer care and quality of performance.


To be successful you must possess:



  • Experience of initial verification, inspection and testing.

  • An understanding of the current regulations and a focus to always remain compliant.

  • Awareness of, and ability to follow safe working procedures.

  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a friendly manner with professional attitude and effective communication skills

  • You will enjoy working as part of a team, whilst also being able to work unsupervised.

  • Desirable: Housing maintenance within the social housing sector


Qualifications:



  • City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1&2 or equivalent

  • City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition

  • City and Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection or equivalent

  • Ideally asbestos training
