Job description

Morson Recruitment are currently recruiting for x4 Electricians to work as Testing Inspection Electricians for our client, a leading Electrical Power Supply organisation in the UK, covering various locations including Brighton, Tonbridge, Cambridge, and Norwich. The successful candidates will be provided with a company van and fuel card, as well as comprehensive training.

The ideal candidates must hold a Gold JIB / ECS Gold card and have a 2391 Test and Inspection ticket or 2394 / 2395 or equivalent, along with a driving licence.

Length of contract: 12 months
Rate: £209 LTD
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8.00 am - 5.00 pm

Job Description

Duties associated with inspections & reporting. No tools are required for the role; it is purely inspection and fault finding.

Job Purpose

The Electrician will work as part of an inspection team, conducting inspections & reporting of assets within privately owned/third-party multi-occupied building intakes. The areas you cover daily will be decided by yourself.

The company has assets (cut outs, riser & lateral cabling) within privately owned multi-occupied buildings that require a survey to report on access requirements, condition of the assets, and to identify/confirm equipment.

The inspector will be issued with a company van & fuel card to undertake the inspections and will be required to work with a tablet to record the data.

Work will be issued to the Inspector via the tablet, which inspectors will need to upload & update back to head office on a daily basis.

A confidence in using IT, including Microsoft Outlook, basic Excel, and Microsoft Teams, is essential.

The job holder will deliver excellence in customer service, maintaining high quality, recording accurate and timely information, and possessing excellent communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  1. Computer literate - able to use Microsoft Outlook, basic Excel knowledge, and Microsoft Teams.
  2. City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2.
  3. JIB Gold card / ECS - this is essential.
  4. NVQ3 or AM2.
  5. City & Guilds 2366 - Level 3 Electrical Installation.
  6. City & Guilds 2391 - Test and Inspection or 2394/2395 or equivalent - this is essential.
  7. Hold a full driving licence.
  8. DBS check will be required.
  9. Medical & Drugs and Alcohol screening will be required.
  10. Health, Safety and Environment Awareness.
  11. Demonstrate honesty and integrity.
  12. Strong interpersonal skills.
  13. Ability to read drawings and understand content.
  14. Excellent organisation & planning skills.

Desirable

  1. Testing and Inspection experience would be an advantage.
