Job Title: Electrical/System Technician
Location: New House
Type: Full-time
Rate: £25-26 per hour

About the Role

Are you an experienced Electrical/System Technician looking for your next challenge? We're on the hunt for a hands-on professional to play a key role in our Integration Centre, ensuring our hardware platforms are assembled, powered up, and tested to the highest standards. You'll be leading a small team, working with cutting-edge technology, and making a real impact on high-profile projects.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Leading and supporting a small team of assembly technicians, ensuring smooth integration of hardware solutions.
  2. Powering up and preparing hardware for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  3. Performing electrical inspections, including Earth Bond and Flash Testing.
  4. Managing electrical isolation, de-isolation, and connection processes.
  5. Setting up legacy test equipment and safety system test racks.
  6. Ensuring all hardware is properly disconnected and prepared for shipment after testing.
  7. Keeping detailed records of test and calibration data.
  8. Troubleshooting and resolving system hardware defects.
  9. Supporting engineering teams during FAT activities.
  10. Adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  11. Opportunities for offshore work and international assignments (preferred but not essential).
What We're Looking For:
  1. Strong knowledge of current electrical standards & wiring regulations (BS 7671).
  2. Experience with Process Control Systems (Honeywell DCS & Safety Systems preferred).
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT skills.
  4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  5. OPITO Approved Offshore BOSIET training (preferred but not essential).
  6. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for quality and efficiency improvements.
