Electrical Supervisor - Wind

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers to recruit an Electrical Supervisor to oversee the installation and finishing phases of wind farm sites across the UK, Northern Ireland, and Europe.

The Electrical Supervisor role comes with a salary of 45,000 plus a bonus scheme and a flexible pension scheme.

Responsibilities and Duties

As the Electrical Supervisor, you will:

1. Inspect and supervise the electrical installation inside and adjacent to the wind turbine generators.
2. Ensure all activities related to the SCADA installation and connection are completed and prepared for commissioning.
3. Follow all industry safety regulations for the site and ensure all works are compliant with HSE.
4. Perform the Quality Gate 23 Process and ensure sign-off is complete by the Site Manager.
5. Support when needed during the commissioning and testing phases.
6. Complete any other relevant supportive duties for projects, including but not exclusive to Quality Gate 4 and retro performance monitoring.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

1. Certificate as a qualified electrician or qualified electrical worker.
2. Valid First Aid would be an advantage.
3. HV and MV switching operation authorization.
4. Working and Rescue from Height - from a renewables UK approved provider.

Personal Skills

The Electrical Supervisor would suit someone who is:

1. Able to work in or lead a team.
2. A systematic problem solver.
3. Able to travel on a regular basis both UK and internationally when needed.
4. Able to demonstrate a practical and technical approach to operations.

Salary and Benefits of the Electrical Supervisor Role

1. Salary up to 45,000
2. 33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
3. 4-week work rotation (3 weeks on, 1 week off)
