JOB DESCRIPTION

Electrical Site Supervisor – Days & Nights Available

Location: Leicester
Day Rate: £380 - £400 per day (Outside IR35)
Night Rate: £400 - £450 per night (Outside IR35)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00 (Days) or 18:00 – 06:00 (Nights)
Contract Length: Initial 3-6 Months (with potential to extend)

Our client, a leading provider of innovative automated supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee the installation of electrical systems for a Monorail Automation Project. If you have a proven background in electrical installations, automation systems, and project management, we would like to hear from you!

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the electrical installations of a Monorail System within an automation project. You will ensure the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems, while also overseeing and guiding a team of electricians to meet both safety and quality standards. This position is ideal for professionals with a solid background in automation and electrical control systems, as well as experience in enforcing lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the installation and commissioning of electrical systems for the Monorail Automation project.
  • Ensure accurate installation of electrical and data systems according to specifications.
  • Enforce strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, ensuring the safety of all personnel on-site.
  • Provide leadership and coordination to a team of electricians, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, specifically within automation projects, including Monorail systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety protocols.
  • Experience with electrical control systems (ECS) and automation warehousing.
  • ECS Manager card or CSCS Manager certification is required.
  • Valid SSTS or SMSTS certifications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with Monorail systems or similar automation projects.
  • Additional electrical qualifications or certifications.
  • Familiarity with LOTTI (Lockout Tagout Team Integration) processes.
