The renewables industry is experiencing rapid growth and so are we. Emtec Energy are actively seeking a project-based Site Supervisor to join our expanding Team. This role is project based with the first project based in the Edinburgh area. After this, projects could be based anywhere in the UK so a willingness to travel is essential.

The Role

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and progress their career as part of an expanding renewal technologies installation company. As a Site Supervisor working on large Scale Solar PV Projects, your duties will involve supervising the day-to-day activities on site which are predominantly undertaken by sub-contractors. Ensuring all works are carried out safely and to the required standard, achieving all KPI’s and objectives with a strong focus on quality control.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Management and coordination - oversee site operations and liaise with sub-contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure maximum productivity, profitability, and satisfaction.
2. Supervision and Quality Assurance - Monitor and supervise work delivery to ensure projects are completed according to the programme and meeting set quality standards. Address any concerns promptly with the Project Manager and suggest solutions to ensure the smooth running of the site. Ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
3. Compliance and Safety - Ensure site compliance with Health and Safety regulations, Emtec standard operating procedures, quality assurance accreditations, and legislative best practices. Uphold the company’s values and commitment to excellent work practices.
4. Customer Experience - Prioritize the customer experience in all interactions, maintain professionalism when communicating with clients, and adhere to a high standard of appearance and health and safety protocols.
5. Asset Management - Monitor and maintain all company assets, including vans, materials, tools, plant hire, uniform, and PPE.
6. Additional Duties - perform any other tasks required by Emtec Energy. Support team members and attend informal and formal company & client meetings and training sessions as required.

What You Will Need To Succeed

1. Ideally have previous site management, quality control, or clerk of works experience.
2. Ability to manage, monitor, and report on Health & Safety and compliance.
3. People management with the desire to lead & mentor others.
4. Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
5. Results-oriented and good problem solver.
6. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
7. Ability to negotiate and influence.
8. IT literate with confident oral and written communication skills.
9. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.

It would be great if you…

1. Have a recognised trade apprenticeship.
2. Have a SMSTS qualification.
