Job Description
Your new company
Our client, a well-established family business with over 60 years of experience, is seeking an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their Major Contracts team. With offices in Belfast, Co Tyrone, and Dublin, they deliver large, complex MEP engineering projects across GB, NI, and ROI.
Your new role
This role can be based in their Belfast or Co Tyrone office, depending on your experience and location. Occasional travel to other offices may be required. Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to establish and maintain strong working relationships, ensuring competitive tenders for each project. Conduct on-site measurements to ensure agreement among all parties.
Perform duties as directed by management. Coordinate work efforts to meet client requirements. Measure and value completed work and variations during contracts for interim payments and final accounts.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project information, costs, profitability, and value meet requirements. Compile subcontract orders for approval. Visit sites to measure and value completed works.
Assess subcontractor payment entitlements and process payments. Reconcile cost and value to date/forecast to keep management informed of project performance. Support contract and site management staff for smooth office and site operations.
Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions. Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
