At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Electrical Quality Controller, at our Whetstone, Leicestershire site.

The role:
As an Electrical Quality Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will support the Electrical Assembly and Test Department (EDAT) management team by performing inspection, test, and document review tasks, and deputising for absent colleagues within the EDAT at Whetstone.

Day-to-day, you’ll track and report on business key performance indicators (KPIs).

  1. Provide support and advice on quality control matters.
  2. Manage inspection and document review priorities with the EDAT management team.
  3. Apply the Business Management System (BMS) for projects.
  4. Communicate reporting data, including technical queries and non-conformance reports.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based in Whetstone, Leicestershire.

Essential experience of the Electrical Quality Controller:

  1. Ability to read and interpret wiring and circuit diagrams.
  2. Competent in advising on and selecting inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
  3. Skilled in concise and accurate inspection and test report writing.
  4. Conscientious with a focused attention to detail.
  5. Proactive in detecting and reporting issues for corrective and improvement actions.

Qualifications for the Electrical Quality Controller:

  1. Essential: Apprenticeship or minimum HNC level qualification with relevant electrical/electronic modules.
  2. Desirable: Working knowledge and training in IPC 610, 620, 1711/21, and J-STD-001 standards.

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) progressing to Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
