Job description

Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Location: Oxford

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000

Benefits: 7.5k car allowance, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, private healthcare, company pension

A market leading Tier One M&E Contractor are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to join their management team working on a £40m M&E, shell & core life science project in Oxford.

As one of the M&E management team you will be responsible to manage the project from pre-construction to completion ensuring the high-profile project is completed to schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards undertaking effective planning.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage materials, labour, sub-contractors, installation, procurement and drawing programmes to accord with installation and specification requirements.
  2. Liaison with clients, supply chain, delivery teams and management.
  3. Oversee working practices, ensuring compliance with HSE policies with support from H&S Manager.
  4. Financial management of project, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  5. Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  6. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring solutions are implemented effectively.
  7. Maintain close working relationships with clients, stakeholders, sub-contractors and internal teams to manage progress, challenges, and resolutions.
Experience Required:
  1. Proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical projects with values £10M+ ideally in the R&D, life science, laboratory and healthcare sector.
  2. Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems, construction practices and industry standards.
  3. Effective planning and project management skills, including planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
  4. Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control and financial analysis.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to achieve project goals.
  6. The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  8. Electrical related qualifications and SMSTS card.
