Job description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical engineering projects from conception to completion. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical installations, processes, and components to meet project specifications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure that all electrical engineering aspects align with safety and quality standards.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements.
  2. Collaborating with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  3. Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges.
  4. Supervising and mentoring a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance and support.
  5. Ensuring effective communication within the team and with other departments.
  6. Collaborating with the design team to create detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  7. Reviewing and approving design changes and modifications.
  8. Providing technical expertise and guidance on complex electrical engineering issues.
  9. Managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  10. Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  1. A Level 3 C&G qualification or equivalent degree.
  2. Proven experience in electrical project engineering.
  3. Experience in the industrial or food and beverage industry.
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  7. Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  8. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  9. A full UK driving licence.
