£60,000 - £70,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Company Vehicle + Benefits Package + Pension + Holiday + Career Progression

My client is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their expanding team as part of their growth strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in DNO or ICP to manage projects from inception to completion while contributing to the company's ambitious goals.

An established independent connection provider, my client specializes in installations and supplies for new electrical projects, focusing on the Midlands and North, with plans to expand operations working at voltages up to 33kV. With a compact team of dedicated professionals, they pride themselves on managing projects efficiently and effectively, striving to double their turnover from £4 million to £8 million in the near future.

The Electrical Project Manager will oversee the delivery of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, conducting site visits, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The role involves a mix of remote work and site visits, with team meetings held monthly in London or a chosen location.

This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth within a small, dynamic team. My client is committed to succession planning, with clear pathways for advancement to roles such as Operations Manager or Operations Director. The culture promotes a collaborative and enjoyable work environment, where everyone's contributions are valued.

The Role

  • Manage electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee project progress and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Prepare project timelines and documentation, including risk assessments and progress reports.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss project updates and strategies.

The Person

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the utilities sector, ideally with a background in electrical connections (DNO or ICP).
  • Proven project management experience; supervisors looking to transition into project management are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of electrical connection processes and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting with occasional site visits.
