  • Experience with Electrical distribution and Battery Backed Power Supply systems.

Job description

Electrical Power Engineer – CONTRACT 12 MONTHS – HOME BASED

Remote working with 1 or 2 days on site a month.

Location: Frimley/Weymouth/Bristol/Barrow/Broad Oak

Rate: £58 PH PAYE (£66.43 PH Inclusive of holiday pay) or £76.53 PH Umbrella PH

Role Overview:
This is an Electrical Power Engineering role, specialising in the design and development of a battery backed power supply to support safety related systems (48 Volt DC Power Supplies + Battery Back Up). Electrical Design Engineering including cabling and connectors (awareness of IEC 61508).

Responsibilities:

  1. Be the main Electrical Design SQEP for the team.
  2. Provide technical advice and guidance to other team members.
  3. Provide technical assessment of subcontracted Supplier design documentation.
  4. Create and develop System Design Documentation.
  5. Create and develop Interface Control Documentation.
  6. Define Interface Cabling.
  7. Requirements Definition.
  8. Requirements Certification / Validation.
  9. Attend Supplier Design Reviews on site in Milton Keynes (expensed).

Key Skillset:
Essential:
  1. In depth Electrical Power Engineering knowledge 48 Volt DC Power.
  2. Knowledge of Electrical distribution systems.
  3. Knowledge of Battery Backed Power Supply systems.
  4. Awareness of IEC61508.

Desirable:
  1. Doors user.
  2. Enterprise Architect.
