My client based in the Caerphilly area is currently looking for an electrically biased shift maintenance engineer to join their team on the night shift. This is an exciting time to join a growing company with excellent future plans.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as a standalone shift engineer in the factory.
2. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment used in food production.
3. Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
4. Respond promptly and efficiently to any machinery breakdowns or technical problems that arise during production hours.
5. Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to accurately identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
6. Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement maintenance schedules that do not disrupt the production flow.
7. Monitor and control equipment performance, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
8. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including logs, reports, and records.
9. Work to food safety standards.
10. Ensure that engineering contractors adhere to site rules, health & safety, and food safety standards.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Nights Job Requirements

1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
2. Electrically biased or strong multi-skilled engineer.
3. Strong technical knowledge of machinery and equipment used in food production, including but not limited to conveyors, mixers, fillers, and packaging machines.
4. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems effectively.
5. Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve urgent issues.
7. Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and relay technical information clearly.
8. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in maintenance tasks.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Nights Salary & Benefits

1. Salary of £48,000 including shift allowance.
2. Full benefits to be discussed.
