Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Afternoon Shift

My client is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining electrical systems and components on steel manufacturing lines. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

Duties

1. Afternoon Shift - Monday- Thursday 2pm-10pm - Friday 12pm-8pm
2. Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems, including motors, generators, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
3. Interpret electrical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
4. Identify opportunities for improving electrical systems and processes.
5. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in electrical maintenance.

Experience

1. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with a strong emphasis on industrial settings.
2. Proven experience with various electrical systems and components, including control equipment.
3. Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.
4. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

1. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and schematics.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
