A global leader in recycling and repurposing metals used within the power industry, is continuing to grow its business within the UK and Europe. They are now seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to help maintain their state-of-the-art machinery, imperative to the company's continued success.


Based close to Birmingham, this Electrical Maintenance Engineer role offers a salary of up to £50,000 annually.


The Role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

You will be a key player in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems. Working on a 3-shift rotation, your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting routine maintenance on automated equipment to prevent downtime.
  2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues efficiently.
  3. Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  4. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  5. Collaborating with other team members to optimise equipment performance and processes.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent).
  2. Proven experience in maintaining and repairing automated equipment.
  3. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  4. A proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  5. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is advantageous.
